We will start testing new employment services with a pilot, using AI to search for suitable jobs.
At the end of June, Parliament passed an amendment to the law that will allow us to offer employment services to our members. The law has been ratified by the President and the new rules of the YTK Unemployment Fund have been approved by the Financial Supervisory Authority. So now, at last, we are legally fully prepared to start building new employment services.
From experimentation to momentum for new services
In August, we aim to test a new service that uses artificial intelligence to help us find jobs for our customers.
Now, in July, we’ll first be looking for a smaller test team to help us tune the systems. We will send randomly selected daily allowance applicants a letter with a link to the survey. By responding, you can provide information about your work history and agree to this information being used in the development of our new service.
Once the July test is complete, we will be able to send a new letter to a wider group of applicants in August and match applicants with job advertisements. This will be the real test, after which we will ask for further feedback from participants.
If all goes well and the service is successful, we can next start to roll out the service on OmaYTK. Then we will be one step closer to making job search quick and easy.
We’ll let you know more as the trial progresses!
