Impact of Christmas and New Year holidays on payments

Impact of holidays on payment dates
This year, the Christmas holidays fall on weekdays. Public holidays will affect when your daily allowance will be in your account.
When we pay you the daily allowance, the money will be in your account within two banking days. A banking day is a day on which the bank is open and can help to transmit the payment. A bank holiday is not a bank day, so a bank holiday at the time of payment will change the time taken to process the payment.
In practice, a bank day means that if we send you a payment on a Tuesday, for example, the money will be in your account within two working days on Thursday. If there is a bank holiday in between, for example on Wednesday, the money will not be in your account until Friday.
This year, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day are bank holidays. New Year’s Day and Epiphany also fall on weekdays. These days are not bank days, so they will affect when your daily allowance will be in your account.
