At the beginning of the training you will find practical instructions on how to complete the content – start by reading them!

1. Launch your job search

The first part of the coaching focuses on dealing with change and looking after your own well-being. You’ll get support in dealing with the emotions of being unemployed and lots of tips on maintaining a positive vibe and boosting your confidence.

Successful job search is often based on knowing yourself and your strengths and having confidence in yourself as a professional.

2. Identify your goals and possibilities

This section looks at the definition of goals. It is essential to set your own goals when looking for a job, as these will help you to identify your next steps. The more precise and clearer we define our goals, the easier it will be for us to move forward.

You will also have the opportunity to consider your employment prospects. You will get lots of tips to help you map the employment situation in your area and sector.

3. Know your skills and strengths

In the exercises and tasks in this section, you will outline your skills and strengths and how you can use them to convince your future employer. You will also get examples and inspiration on how to transfer your skills to new industries or from one job to another.

You will also gain a better understanding of how to interpret job advertisements and skills requirements. Which things in job advertisements are usually requirements, and which things are desirable or to the advantage of the jobseeker?

4. Get your resume ready

The CV is perhaps the most important document in a job application. The most important thing about a CV is that it attracts the employer’s interest in you and your skills. There is no one standard format for a CV. In this section, we will show you, among other things, the different options available for putting together your own CV.

5. A good job application – what does it look like?

A job application should be a letter of application that focuses specifically on the job you are applying for and explains why you are the right person for the job. How do you write a great job application? What should you avoid? In this section, you’ll find concrete tips for writing your application. You’ll also get to see examples of different types of applications.

You can access the coaching through the job search tab in OmaYTK. Also take a look at the other services that support your employment!
