1. Job interview

When you get an invitation to a job interview, you know you’re well into the recruitment process. The interview is your chance to convince the employer that you are the right person to hire.

In this section, we go through how to prepare for a job interview and some common questions. What should you do at the interview and afterwards? Pick up some tips and excel in the interview!

2. Suitability assessment

A suitability assessment looks at the suitability of a jobseeker for a particular job or role. The assessment may include tests, tasks and interviews to provide information about the applicant’s personality, skills and motivation.

An invitation to an aptitude test can be a stressful experience. In this section, you will learn about aptitude tests and how to prepare. Did you know that as a member of the YTK Unemployment Fund, you also have access to the Work Personality Assessment, which is often included in the aptitude test? So take advantage of this opportunity!

3. Introducing your skills

A jobseeker usually presents their skills to the employer in a CV, job application or telephone interview, for example. However, there are other ways you can use that will give you a significant advantage. We can give you new tips and tools to help you stand out. You’ll also get to practise your elevator speech, for example.

4. Multichannel job search

It’s easy to get bogged down in searching for job opportunities through just one or a few different channels. Now we’re broadening your perspective so that you can continue to search for new job opportunities from the sources that are right for you. You can also explore the options and hidden jobs offered by recruitment agencies.

5. Social media in job search

You should also use social media when looking for a job. We’ll show you the most important channels for your job search and give you some practical training. Is posting on LinkedIn a threat or an opportunity? How do you do it? What is the importance of a positive personal brand and how to create one?
