The YTK Unemployment Fund Board has proposed a membership fee of 102 € for next year and the Financial Supervisory Authority has approved it. The membership fee is paid once a year and is tax deductible.
Membership fees finance the fund’s share of benefit expenditure and therefore the amount of the fee is most affected by the unemployment of its members. The economic outlook is uncertain and unemployment is expected to remain high next year. Therefore, there has not been a significant margin for decline in the membership contribution, although the 2024 legislative changes are expected to have some impact on the amount of benefits paid.
We will send out next year’s dues invoices after the turn of the year.

Membership pays off
By paying your membership fee, you keep your membership valid and your income security intact.
Earnings protection is an important benefit if you become unemployed, work part-time or are laid off. On average, we pay more than 800 € more per month in earnings-related daily allowance compared to the basic daily allowance paid by Kela.
As a member, you can also apply for a mobility allowance and a transition security.
During this year, the conditions for unemployment benefit were changed by extending the working condition and the associated membership condition from six months to a year. If you give up membership, it will take longer to regain your benefit entitlement.

We will send out next year’s membership invoices after the turn of the year. We will introduce a 5 € surcharge for paper invoices next year. The surcharge will also apply to invoices sent via OmaPosti. The e-invoice will continue to be free of charge.

As a member of the YTK Unemployment Fund, you can also become a member of YTK Worklife, which offers services such as legal assistance, insurances and many other benefits to make your working life easier. YTK Worklife charges its own annual membership fee separately. This amount is 29 € for 2025.
