You can now find job vacancies at OmaYTK
At the YTK, we are rapidly developing services to make finding a new job as quick and easy as possible for you.
We have now launched a brand new jobs platform. From now on, you will be able to browse vacancies directly through OmaYTK.
We have also launched a new job search page on OmaYTK. There you can find information and access tools to help you, for example:
- Learn to identify and articulate your skills and strengths
- To polish your CV and application
- Manage the stress of job search
You can find the platform on the job search tab of OmaYTK.

Employment areas replace TE Offices
TE Offices will be abolished at the beginning of 2025. At the same time, responsibility for organising employment services will be transferred to municipalities.
After the turn of the year, you can get the public employment services you need in your municipality. However, few municipalities can organise services on their own. As a rule, municipalities will organise services in cooperation with other municipalities. This kind of cooperation area is called an employment area.
Only e-invoicing will be free – change your invoicing method now!
Our paper or OmaPosti membership invoices will soon be subject to a fee. In the future, these will be subject to a 5 € surcharge.
E-invoices will continue to be free of charge. You will receive next year’s membership fee invoice from us in early January. Switch to e-invoicing now and save 5 € on the surcharge.
Check your tax card before Christmas
If you receive income support from us, this is the time of year to check your tax statement. The turn of the year is also the time to renew your tax card.
Exceptions to payment dates on Independence Day
This year, Independence Day falls on a Friday, making it a public holiday. This may affect when your earnings-related daily allowance will be in your account.
Increases to be phased out
The government has proposed that the increased earnings-related component be abolished from the beginning of next year. In addition, the possibility of paying the mobility allowance at a higher rate would be abolished. Use our daily allowance calculator to work out how the change would affect your daily allowance.
